Canada's Premier dedicated Coffee School offering beginner, advanced and specialized espresso training and business courses.

Since 2001, The Canadian Barista & Coffee Academy professionals have played an active role in raising the standard of specialty coffee in Canada by establishing Canada's first coffee magazine, launching and hosting Canada's first Educational forum and Coffee and Tea Trade Show, and introducing and managing the Regional and National Canadian Barista Championships.

Our focus has always been on coffee education. We do not sell equipment or coffee and maintain our educational mission. The Canadian Barista & Coffee Academy workshop curriculum combines fundamental techniques used in barista competitions with practical skill building that you can learn to become a great Barista and operate a successful coffee business.

The Canadian Barista & Coffee Academy has worked with some of the most talented local professionals and barista champions from across Canada and around the world.

Your barista workshop instructors are highly experienced trainers and barista championship judges. Our diverse team is involved in designing course content to provide you with Industry-standard, inclusive instruction in espresso preparation and latte art skills.

Our instructors for “Opening a Coffee Business” and coffee education workshops and seminars have over 30 years of café management, coffee cupping and roasting experience in the Canadian and U.S. specialty markets providing you with some of the key coffee and business knowledge needed to open and operate a thriving coffee shop.
